About the Instructor: Michele
Mason is a Lactation Specialist and Educator who has consulted new mothers
and expectant couples for over 12 years, both independently and through
groups and classes at San Francisco's Natural Resources. Founder of the
Child Friendly Initiative, Inc. Michele is a nationally-known advocate
for children and their caregivers. Michele serves on The Mother's Council
in New York City and resides in San Francisco with her husband and three
children.
About CFI: The Child Friendly
Initiative, Inc. (CFI) CFI is an advocacy group for parents and their
small children form the ages of 0-5. CFI consults with and educates businesses
about the needs of children and families, granting the "Child-Friendly
Seal of Approval" to those who have made an effort to truly welcome children.
CFI also provides educational materials for parents and caregivers to
promote a better understanding of children's developmental needs.
