Building a Child-Friendly Community

Child–Friendly Initiative (CFI) is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to creating a society more supportive of children and families. We support and applaud those who work to educate the public about children’s needs, so that child-friendly attitudes may be integrated into policies and practices of businesses and other organizations.

We believe that the heart of every child-friendly community is the connection its members have with each other. We encourage every passionate mom, dad, babysitter, grandma, teacher, and child-care provider to connect with a like-minded friend and change the world.

A child-friendly marketplace is a great place to start. Add a business to our database, and encourage them to apply for our seal of approval. Talk to your friends, ask them what their favorite stores and restaurants are!
